In just a few days we will be entering into a new year and a new decade! This can be both scary and delightful. Where does the time go?!?

As my last post stated, this is a time for you to give yourself permission to express your desires. So, I encourage you to take out your journal or some paper and grab something to write with…

Past 10 Years

First, take some time to reflect on the past 10 years. Where were you when the last decade rolled in? From there, think about all that you have accomplished. Reflect on what you have learned. It’s not always about all the good either — sometimes the most difficult situations/experiences can really shape who you have become. Good or bad, give thanks to who you are today as a result of the last 10 years.

Second, this is also a time to reflect on what hasn’t been working and needs to be left behind in the 2010s. We are all human, so be realistic about what is no longer serving you and needs to be let go.  Whatever it is, it may have served you in the past but moving forward it could be like a bag of bricks just dragging you down. Remember, habits, goals, responsibilities, relationships, etc. can sunset and that is okay!

Next 10 Years

Then, finally, we can move to 2020 and the next decade. Remember your higher good and what new habits you want to create to support your higher good. Remember this is limitless, so what do you want to do, accomplish, and experience in the next decade? What do you want to waken? Think about 10 years from now, and ask yourself who do you want to be? How will that look? How will it feel? What steps do you need to start taking right now to move you toward that person?

Have at it!
