There comes a point in everyone’s life when a desire is no longer a nice-to-have but a MUST.  It is crazy how our belief shifts. We start to do whatever it takes to make that desire come true.  It could be as simple as, I must have that sweater or those shoes. Or as big as, I must leave this relationship or quit this job.

We all go through this many times in our lives. But have you stopped to recognized how your motivation shifts when something becomes a MUST?

The idea is to make sure you are NOT doing it to move away from what you do not want, but rather you are doing it to move towards what you do.  The nuance can be subtle, but it is the idea of using a “carrot” to help motivate you verse a “stick.”  The stick is usually negative, shame filled, and fear based.  The carrot is positive, dignity filled, and curiosity based.

While you may recognize the need to change your circumstance based on what you no longer want in your life, the goal is to have you thinking about what you do want instead? How do you want to feel when you achieve the desire? What does it look like? How will you be? How will you think?

These questions inspire hope, pride, trust, belief, courage, and value in one’s self!

I got a fire inside me when I decided I no longer play small and decided I wanted to start my own business.  Do you have a desire that is just waiting to ignite?  Let me help you!
